Uplift StumpRest:
New Seating Solution for Below-Knee Amputees

Commode Assist, is pleased to introduce the Uplift StumpRestTM
- the newest member in the Uplift family of products.
The Uplift StumpRestTM is a two-in-one wheelchair drop seat
with slide-out supports for the stumps of below-knee amputees.
This integrated design is unique in the market place, offering
below-knee amputees an affordable wheelchair seat base that
is height adjustable, yet offers convenient, fully- retractable
stump support for right, left and dual-amputees. With the
StumpRest(s) being retractable, this makes transfers into
or out of the wheelchair easier and it enhances maneuverability.
The inability to
straighten the knee is a common complication, known as knee
flexion contracture. With support from the Uplift StumpRestTM,
this condition could be prevented. Designed by rehabilitation
professionals, the StumpRest provides a solid sitting base
with dual cushioned stump support for comfort and protection
for the residual limbs of amputees.
The Uplift StumpRestTM
is lightweight, has a thin profile that can be used with a
variety of wheelchair cushions, and is designed in two standard
