Company
History
Uplift
Technologies Inc. was forged from a great idea, determination
and, a successful product line.
It
all began in 1993 when owner, Michael Speraw, incorporated
DayLight Technologies. Back then, the company exclusively
manufactured Day-Light
bright light therapy systems. These systems are used to alleviate
the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) or the 'Winter
Blues.'
In
the fall of 1995, the company was given the opportunity to
distribute a new innovative product, the Uplift
Seat Assist. This addition to our Home Medical Equipment
(HME) line, was such a hit that in 1999 it inspired the company's
name change to Uplift Technologies Inc.
Growth and expansion
to the product-line are constants at Uplift Technologies Inc.
The company currently has an active dealer network of over
1,300 customers, and is continually looking at ways to foster
these relationships and serve customers with the best possible
product offering.
Subsequently, the company also manufactures:
Uplift has recently
extended the market reach of its patented technology by introducing
a second brand of lifting cushion, the new UPEASY
lifting cushion brand. Designed in 2002, it meets the
needs of the cash and retail segments of the marketplace.
UPEASY comes in an attractive retail package, includes an
instructional video, and is offered at a competitive retail
price.
Concurrently, the
Uplift Seat Assist brand was upgraded to include a memory
foam cushion and a waterproof incontinent cover. It continues
to be the lifting cushion of choice for HME market segment.
At MedTrade 2002,
Uplift Technologies announced yet another exciting and innovative
addition to its product line - Uplift
Power Seat. Power Seat is expected to become even more
popular than Seat Assist because of its ease of use and enhanced
safety features. An UPEASY
POWER lifting cushion has also just been released.
